BIOGRAPHY
Lisa was born in 1969 in Melbourne Victoria. Encouraged by her musical family she discovered her passion for music, singing and dancing at a very young age. At the age of 18 she attended the Australian College of Entertainers where she studied musical theatre and dance.
Lisa then moved on to work in Television, Film and Theatre. To name a few examples, she performed in the musical “Cinderella”, worked with Baz Lurhman on the pre-recordings of the Musical “Strictly Ballroom”, was a member of the well known “Swing Sisters Trio”, was a regular guest on the Television show “Good Morning Australia” and was also active as a singer/pianist in the renowned hotels of Melbourne. In 1994 Lisa travelled extensively on cruise ships presenting her own solo show. In 1995 she released her first CD with the Title “Don’t Let Go” featuring a number of her own compositions.
In 1996 Lisa began a tour of Europe as a Singer and Pianist. She performed predominantly in the piano bars of 5 Star Hotels, in many cities of Germany, Switzerland and even spent several months in Istanbul, Turkey. Lisa eventually decided to settle in Europe and Hamburg had won a place in her heart as her “home away from home”. It was here that Lisa recorded her Live CD with the title “Natural”. In 2004 Lisa moved to Belgium where she quickly made her mark both as a performer and voice coach for up and coming talents. In 2007 the UAE became Lisa's new home and she was quick to establish herself in the region as both a performer and voice coach. In 2009 she was a featured as an international artist on the Garden Stage at the Dubai International Jazz Festival with her Belgian Band. To coincide with this she released her album "It's Time", which is available on iTunes, and was featured in Newspapers, Time Out Magazine, on Radio around the country.
As a singer Lisa trained with many teachers around the world. She soon realized that there are vast gaps in teaching styles and often the best qualifications do not result in the best teaching results. She has always been fascinated by the voice and its capabilities and began researching extensively herself on how the voice truly works. She developed a unique style of teaching using her vast knowledge of the voice, which ensures her students voices remain healthy and true to their natural sound, yet can develop in quality and range. Lisa is able to instantly diagnose and correct problems in even the most advanced singer’s voices.
Lisa has been teaching singing since the early 1990’s to literally 1000s of singers around the world and has worked with artists from Sony, The Really Useful Theatre Company, countless artists from independent recording labels and has assisted on productions at DUCTAC in Dubai.
